Player Valuation: £50m
last season saw wigan defy the odds and finish in the top half, they were actually around 6th/7th for a duration and jewell was lauded as superb for doing such a fine job.

this season wigan have struggled, partly due to them losing 2 of their better players in chimbonda and the midfielder that went to fulham whos name i have forgotten.

Reading are this seasons surprise package, playing some decent football and churning out the points.

In the summer when their resolve is tested over players like doyle, shorey, and sidwell, they could lose out. and not being a fully established club attracting good new players might not be so easily.

bradford and west brom are other examples of sides that just managed to stay in the prem then slipped back down the following season.

can any of you think of any others?
