The second half was the equivalent of babies trying to walk for the first time. Couldn't control a ball. Couldn't pass a ball without giving it to a red shirt. Not one decent counter attack for all that sitting back.

Barkley was complete crap. Nothing worked for him. Lukaku couldn't hold the ball up. Valencia was a headless chicken.

Gueye, Coleman and McCarthy aside, the rest should feck off.

Thought Funes More was really solid throughout, winning almost every header and didn't seem out of position, thought he had one of the better performances

Under Martinez we passed the ball alot in fact to much. Now they seem unable to pass at all. last night we couldn't pass it 2 yards in the 2nd half.

Start of last season we had a pole...BEST EVERTON SQUAD IN 25 years. I hate to say it but this crop are one of the worse, even in the dark days we put shifts in with far less talented players.
The reason we are where we are in the league is due to 1 player, Gana, without him we would of lost every single game

I dread to think what will happen to our midfield when he goes to the ACON. Maybe Tom Davies will get a chance, the thought of cleverley and Barry 'anchoring' the midfield in his absence is the stuff of nightmares.

This is why getting 3 players in during the first week of January is of absolute paramount importance. THREE players at the very least.

I came to despise Roberto's Philosophyball at the end but last night I found myself longing fir it as every Hoof out of our defence in that second half just resulted in yet another uncontested attack being built up by them in midfield.

Frankly I have fallen out of love with Everton after too many "lay down and die" performances, non more typified than in recent derby performances. I don't mind that our squad is only mid table in terms of talent, but to not bother to put in a shift is what makes you realise that your club is nothing more than a collection of mercenaries who at the end of the day get paid astronomical wages that are incomprehensible to the average supporter, and the can't even put in 100%. Sorry, but I can't get behind that. Everton has sucked for at least 15 years in that way. There is no point in pretending that our club is special in any way, shape or form. The only thing that is special is how many fans remain loyal to it despite such piss poor level of commitment, year in, year out.

If the RS played us every week, not only would the win the league every year, they'd win it clearly by 30pts. That is the level of mental inferiority we conceed to them every time we step out on the pitch against them.
