So I just got back from a trip up there for 3 days. Flew Virgin America. Outstanding planes and service. Actually upgraed to first class on the way back. I have flown first class on a few airline, but none touch Virgin so far. Their gig is awesome.

Anyhoo, while I was there, I had time to check out the EMP (Experience Music Project) again (I went to it when it opened when I used to be stationed in the PNW) and I came across this and figured a few people on here would appreciate it (apologies for the darkness, flashes weren't allowed)

In case you are wondering what it is, that is one of Kurt Cobain's Fender's that he played with while Nirvanaing it up.

It's got some great icons of rock history, but it's got to be the ugliest building in the world. It's a shame you weren't here on a Sounders matchday, but then, traffic would have been even worse...

Ahh, traffic is nowt compared to what I deal with in LA on a daily basis. As a side note, I actually was working right across the road from the EMP, at the ISIS buildings, the new Bill & Linda Gates Foundation buildings. Awesome buildings, one of the best offices I have been to.

Transited through Seattle en-route to and returning from Alaska a while back, Only saw the inside of the airport, I would like to go back some time and spend a few days just wandering around, getting the feel of the place

It is on my bucket list to visit Seattle. It has to be; Nirvana always were and still are my favourite band. More than that, even; no film, piece of art, book, band or anything has come close to having the impact they had on me.

Although technically Kurt wasn't from Seattle, but a place nearby called Aberdeen*. That place was a craphole though, hence why he couldn't wait to get away. Not that Seattle is Paris, like, but it's got some rich musical history. Not just Nirvana as well, as most of you know, it was the home of grunge :)

Don't worry, it still kind of is...
