Season tickets with non-standard phones

I'm running LineageOS on my phone with no google services. I knew without some messing around (which I'd rather not do) I wouldn't be able to install google wallet, but just tried to install the Everton app and that won't open (saying "Security Alert - We have detected this device has been rooted and can't be trusted to run this app securely")

Anyone else facing this?
Guess I could buy a cheap second phone just for my ticket. At least I can give it to someone else without them having to pay for membership. Would rather not bother though tbh.

Beware of buying a cheap phone as many of them , even new models , don't have NFC . Check under connectivity first to see if it's installed . If not it won't scan at the turnstile.

Worth contacting the club. There might be a chance of them creating a season ticket card for odd situations like this, would be cheaper for you than buying a new phone. You don't ask, you don't get.

Personally I would love a season ticket physical card for the first season.

If the club are going to the trouble of charging £7.50 for two pre season games in the hope of maybe gaining £100k in sales then why not offer a physical card. If it costs them £5 to produce and they sell it for £20 then surely that’s easy money?

I take it there is no option at Everton to get a physical season card?. We are digital tickets too but if you go down Ticket office and pester them saying you're either crap at tech or literally have no phone. They do give you a physical card.

I always kept my ticket stubs, a nice way to remember the games you went to.

Yeah I emailed them yesterday. Really can't be bothered to get a second phone just to go to the game.

You need to re-route your encryptions and hack into the mainframe.

If that fails, put it in rice.

Because I’m old & stupid I honestly have no idea what the first bit meant but as regards this I’ve got a new/old phone to install my ticket on as have most of my mates . Just to manage going the game or handing tickets over to others
