Yet another innocent person nearly killed by a piece of scum on a scrambler bike - these excuses for humanity have no scruples whatsoever regarding the safety of others - its a wonder that there has not been more deaths caused - it has been a problem around the area where I live. Do others on here have the same problems where thy live or is it a Merseyside phenomenon only ? The police do try to confiscate these bikes but they can only do so much

Never seen someone nearly killed by one. Do get a lot of them and quad bikes thought. Also when I go for a game of footy, occasionally one will come on the park and ride round like they're Evil Knievel.

some scumbag with hoods over there face.

It used to be bad where I grew up, by Cherry Lane and the playing fields.

Day and night, the sound of a raspy engine at full tilt, enough to do anyone's head in, let alone the injury issues.

I saw that on the front of the paper when I was in the shop before, shocking.

A couple of months ago on my road I saw a lad who couldn't have been any older than 12 (possibly younger) riding around on a mini moto, with a girl who looked slightly older on the back. The lad had a helmet on but the girl didn't.

I was astonished, I mean who the [Poor language removed] lets their not even teenage son ride around public roads on a motorbike FFS? Unbelievably irresponsible.

The thing that amazes me is how the hell do they get these machines ? Are they working lads? (Ha Ha..) Or the money comes from somewhere else - is it gang/drug culture ? People must know who they are but are probably scared of reporting them and I understand that but we need to take them off the roads and streets completely before more innocent people are hurt

Living on the edge of the Fens like I do it seems that a lot of kids have these to "play" on as there are lot of tracks and fields for them to ride on.
What I have a problem with is them cutting up the local playing fields and riding them around the houses and up and down the local roads, with no tax or insurance and generally being a pain in the ass with them.
I use to go motor xing on proper tracks with all the right kit on so when one of the lads came a cropper in front of me the other day I nearly pissed myself laughing. I did ask if he was ok and after he said yes I said shame on that hopefully you will hurt yourself more next time!
They are nothing more than a menace and should be stopped at all costs before they hurt innocent passers by

I used to be majorly into my bikes and quads when I was younger. I had my first dirtbike when I was 12 and as I got older got more powerful bikes and quads.

We would never ride them on the road though. Get them on the back of the van and we'd go down the dirt tracks just out the city.

Glad I don't live on an estate, they seem rife around those places. In more decent areas you never see em. Assume most of the bikes are stolen for a joyride by little sh*ts.
