Never actually seen the guy play before...heard all about him from various fan sites but thought id check him out in the Brugge derby tonight.....and he didn't disappoint.
He dominated the game from start to finish, a real box to box midfielder. He scored the second goal with a curling finish from the edge of the area after bombing forward to the edge of the box in perfect timing.
He was also unlucky when hitting the inside of the post with a 25 yard bullet in the first half. But what impressed me most was that he took the game by the scruff of the neck, demanded the ball and his instant control allowed himself the space to spray passes all around the pitch.
He really looks like the kind of midfielder we require....big presence, good ability on the ball and an eye for goal!
I really hope we don't miss out on this guy. Like Vincent Kompany said, he's a real talent!
