Lots of talk about food on here at the moment, must be the weather. :p
Anyway, who's got a belting recipe for this? the chilli recipe with chocolate was ace.

You will easily pick up a good basic scouse recipe on the net, above and beyond the basics cut some potatoes up really small so they soften up quicker, this will will help thicken the sauce also the magic ingredients for me would be a dash of Worcester sauce whilst it's cooking and brown sauce on it once it's plated plus beetroot and crusty bread on the side.
I'm sure there are a 101 variants out there which the good people of GOT will share with you most of which will be tasty.
 

While you can use any mixture of dark meat to hand (I've known it made with mince or steak and kidney), I personally use diced beef.

Basically stew some beef, carrots and onions in a meat stock until you have created a thick gravy, with simple salt and pepper as seasoning, nothing more.

Don't over complicate it. Serve with picked red cabbage.
