The comedian from Dovecote area was Eddie Flanagan - a right Scouser with a Dave Allen style of delivery anyone remember him from the 1970s ?
He was supposedly the comedians comedian...wasn't one the punchline of one of his long rambling jokes...give us a song before you go Roy (Rogers)*

some shorter ones.

Edit;
* I might be mixing him up with the guy who lived in a caravan in Whiston, whose name escapes me for the moment.
Edit 2; Steve Faye

He could sit on a stool & go on for hours he packed the crowds in - better than Tom O Can any time should have made it - yep the living in a caravan rings a bell ....
