Quick on the heels of their football.

Shame to lose a cultural uniqueness though. I think English has another 30 years tops, to be replaced by Yank and gangsta innit.

Accidentally hit a button and hot a local bbc radio station this morning. Two spotty oiks presenting
Oik one "yah I remember my dad rocking a volvo in the 90s"
Oik two "Solid. Solid.'

Bbc ffs.

Goes off to shout at a cloud.

Calm down Chris. The day I still early. You don’t want to wear yourself out already

Gaelic is a precious thing and it's sad to see it die out but I think the Scots government are making a big mistake investing in more Gaelic education.
There is some interest in Edinburgh and Glasgow but frankly it tends to be among rather pretentious middle-class parents. What government should be doing is getting kids to read, write and talk English properly, never mind some quaint old lingo.
Teaching languages like Chinese and Spanish would be useful too.

Its probably too late now. But would it right to force feed it to kids in school, maybe at the expense of something useful?

Wow! That is some radio you have there Chris. I just can't make out the presenters complexions on my old wireless.
