It's funny how everyone was saying that Celtic and Rangers would both walk their respective divisions this season, yet both are sort of struggling by their own standards so far.

It's only early days yet obviously, but after 5 games played, Celtic are 5th, 4 points behind the leaders Motherwell, and Celtic were beaten by St Johnstone on Saturday.

Rangers is even weirder, 4th in the 3rd Division, only 1 point behind leaders Elgin, but Rangers drew 0-0 with Annan Athletic on Saturday, and having played 3 away games against Peterhead, Berwick and Annan, have yet to win an away game.

I'm sure things will probably change for both teams in time, but it's amusing to see both not have it their own way for once.

It's like Celtic just can't be arsed at the minute.. knowing that at some time they will win 8 in a row or something and that will wrap up the league.

The [Poor language removed]? They were 2-1 up against 10 men Queen of the South in the second minute of three minutes of injury time?

Celtic will win the league by at least 20 points i'd imagine, they've just got the luxury of resting first team players before CL matches because the league title is pretty much guranteed. Rangers however with Ally McCoist as manager and the embarrissingly bad squad there stuck with for 2 season could be in for a hard season.

Rangers just need to re-group, the training ground must have been a hard place to be with players going left right and centre and most of those who were still there wanting to leave and then ending up going before the window shut.

Once they settle down they should go up, even if it is not going to be easy. Still nice to see Celtic lose though even if it does not mean anything.

Rangers lost a ton of players in the summer though. All they have is their name and their 45000 fans. They basically have very average lower league players playing for them at the moment.
