Schrödinger says that as long as the door is closed, the cat could be dead or alive. There is no way to know until the door is opened. However, the longer the cat stays in the room, the greater the possibility of death.

This to me really resembles all the takeover talk that is going on at the moment. We don't know if any of these supposed takeover talks are alive, dead or both.

In fact we don't even know that they truly exist!

According to Schrodinger, the longer we are kept in the dark about this lot, the greater the chance that it is dead.

According to my logic, Kenwright can't own the club for eternity, and therefore, there is a marginal increase in the probability of sale with every passing day.

It just gets harder and harder to believe that there is actually some magic millionaire waiting to spring out of Kenwrights box though.

The reason for this I think is because of the amount of times we have been let down before. The amount of times that we have been 'leaked' these glorious rumours, even the LEGIT stuff like Kings Dock, that was way more than a pipe dream rumour, but we always get let down.

If I get hit in the nuts every time I think that x will happen, then I shall stop believing x will happen.

To conclude: I believe that a takeover is getting closer everyday, if only fractionally closer. However, we cant really believe anything whatsoever until it is written in black and white and signed on the dotted line.

This post made f all sense to me typing it. Anybody catch what I'm trying to say?

I get what you are saying but does it make sense that something must happen sooner just because it has not happened yet? You can equally argue because it has not happened yet, the probability of it not happening increases based on past experience.....

Only with Everton and through GOT can you get quantum mechanics worked into a takeover LOL

I used quantum mechanics for the reasoning of us not getting sold.

Maybe I need to clarify my reasoning for us being sold. Kenwright, is not infinite, and shall cease to be at some point in time. If we are to assume that a sale would occur upon or before death, then we could postulate that there is a direct relationship between kenwrights tenure and the probability of sale?

What you're saying is that we should bombard Kenwright with radioactive particles?

Dark.

But the cat can only truly be dead when the box is opened .... so when the takeover is announced we will be taken over.

I'm with you....or at least I would be if you weren't in a box which I cannot see into (the Internet)

You want the blacks to stay off your farm?

JOKE FFS.

I think it gets forgotten that the present regime has lasted for 12 (long) years, but within that period there's been an attempted coup by one director against the others launching a takeover only countered (eventually) with new blood coming onto the board. So things haven't stood still even in that 12 year period. The prospects are that the finances at the club; the weakening of the squad; the unpopularity of the current owners will sooner rather than later lead to change again...and probably more far-reaching than we've seen for a long time.
