Remember fights at school?

They were ace.

At my school they all took place on 'The Hill'. Which was massively impractical as it was a like a little hill where one of the 'fighters' would inevitably slip and fall down it, with the crowd all laughing their heads off.

I miss hearing lads arguing and it always ending with 'RIGHT 1 O'CLOCK ON THE HILL'. Then at 1 a load of lads, usually from the lower years, would crowd there only to be disappointed as one of the combatants has inevitably chickened out.

But when they happened it was awesome.

Choke slammed the school scally who thought he was hard into some thorny bushes with everyone cheering my name, my life will never reach such heights again. Those were the glory days

Saw a kid on his first day of high school got his head stomped on. Lost abar 5 teeth and had to get surgery for his face.

Highlight was probably when I was about 13, had two of the bigger kids step each other out over a bird. The fight when on straight after school, teachers tried to break it up but it went all the way down the main road and onto the schoolbus

Remember our school merging with another school and the " cocks " of both schools having to fight it out to be top boy.
It was like something out of Tom Browns School Days, as they fought it out on the school playing field. The lad from our school did their lad and we thought that was that. The following day about a dozen lads rode onto the school play ground on Vespas like something out of Quadrophenia looking for the lad from our school. Turns out it was the big brothers, cousins etc of the lad who got done over looking for revenge. Those were the days !
