I've an idea for a film, set in a strange place not unlike Manchester, with a dark Lord and a cretin called Gollum who gets picked to become the new hero.........I shall call it "Lord of the Wrongs"..........

Say hello to my little friend... again. 'koff hollywood and whilst your at it go and unmake that abortion of a job you did on the Italian Job.. oh and The great escape, Total Recall, Dredd, Carrie... Can't be bothered... Here's a list of 50 films being remade. Some already out mind you.

How about making something new up you lazy gits.

I think Dredd was actually a pretty good re-imagining or whatever they are called. Much more faithful to the comic than the Stallone-Schneider clusterfudge was. Just unfortunate that it came out around the same time as the very similarly themed The Raid.

Thougt it was awful to be honest. Special effects were okay though. Just acting that made Stallone look like Daniel Day Lewis ruined it for me.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Urban was much more how I thought of Dredd than Stallone was and it was a far grittier, slightly more believable Mega City One to me.

Yeah fair play mate, I was never a massive Dredd comic fan anway, so I will bow to your better judgement on the settings, just thought the film was a bit pants beause the acting was so poor.

Oh don't get me wrong, it lets itself down in bits with some hammy acting that the first film had in spades. I dunno, it just seems quite well thought out and fairly well intended and captured the mood of the comics better. I'm not trying to convert you on it though, you're free to love or loathe it as you see fit.
