The fittest / hardest lad I`ve ever known went for the S.A.S Territorial Army.

He was an ex Marine Commando of ten years plus.

He didn`t get through the selection.

So based on that, NO.

It`s great to watch though !

I know someone who was in the SAS for a number of years, said he had a great time but it ruined his body with the constant training, mid 30's and he had to leave because he needed 2 new knees and hip surgery and his shoulder was screwed.

Interesting they let women get involved this series, refreshing to see them treated equally and not to have to put up with them spouting inequality crap.

When I served in Malaya (1950's) a guy in our unit applied to join the SAS who were operating in Malaya at that time. He went on a training course and on his first parachute jump his feet got entangled in the cords and he landed on his head. They sent him back to us.
