Sandhills station

Why are so many lemmings standing there waiting for a train? I appreciate the locality is helpful but surely anyone with two braincells would realise this is not the station of choice. If you’re able to walk to another station you’d be soft to even attempt this one.

One question I’d ask, is there any soccer bus? If so they need a few of these outside the ground to move people into town or a similar train route. I can’t believe people who are able to are standing for an hour to get a train.

Sandhills has genuinely been really good.

Even with massive queues you’re on the train pretty quickly.

I went into town after the game and even at half seven in moorfields it was a shambles.

A few of fellow OAP's around me are reconsidering whether to renew ST's next year. More so if they put ticket prices up.
If I drive, it takes over an hour to get away from the ground.

I have some mobility issues so the walk into town isn’t pleasant.

Sandhills queues and the overcrowding of the trains is quite dangerous.

Something has to give

We were discussing the slog of the walk leaving BMD back to Lime St rather than using time consuming inadequate public transport. Compared to leaving the Etihad to Manchester Piccadilly station walk time. 40mins against 15 -20mins.
I've walked to and from Lime Street since the Villa game (having used Sandhills for Roma and Brighton) and it's taking me about 25 mins in, maybe about 30 mins back out with the build up trying to get back over the Bascule). I appreciate I'm a relatively fit 40 something and it might take older folk or parents with kids longer, but get a decent clip on and I'm not finding it a bad option at all

The roads were worse on Saturday, it was a total mess with the new changes they made, and I hadn’t even heard about the train fiasco until later.

So fortunate that I can walk with the kids, it’s no real hardship for us, but god help any blues with mobility issues.

An absolute disgrace that this has been allowed to happen, with zero infrastructure changes. So short sighted.

Commandant Steve should ashamed of himself.
