Definitely should be brought in across the board. Would have no issue with heavy performance based incentives.

Sick of seeing players get dribbled past and jog back nonchalantly whilst the opponent bears down on goal, safe in the knowledge they’ll be collecting their 120k a week regardless.

No way should anyone get paid what they get paid to kick a bag of air around. They should be rich men as their careers are short but not rock star rich. It's a team game FFS.
I hear this argument a lot but never accept it as reason. I mean, you're in your mid 30s and you finish getting paid for doing a job. So what? This happens. Find another. Why should any job allow you to stop in your mid 30s to never lift a finger again?

It might help the 'mental health issues too. If a naff player isn't being paid the wealth of Croesus for strolling about the pitch doing squit, maybe people would be less inclined to boo their lungs out at them and make them sad. I think a lot of the hate around certain footballers these days is purely down to the ridiculous pay they get for being marginally better than a good Sunday morning player. They're not one of us anymore, their wealth puts them in a different class and different circles so people feel detached from them with support.

Because they can barely read or write, they only communicate using football tropes and start every sentence with erm... :p

Because your labour has generated billions of pounds of revenue and you should be entitled to a part of it.

Who would you rather the money went to ?

How about the money going to ensure cheaper season/matchday tickets and not ripping off TV consumers with "special" packages on a million different channels?

This relies on various private enterprises in competition with each other deciding they have enough money to be going on with.

Which history tells us is somewhat unlikely.
