Sad TV adverts

When I see adverts for 'send £2 per month' to provide clean water, usually in an African country, I wonder where the £14 billion overseas aid is going. I would have thought that clean water would be high on the priority list.
Someone posted on here about the high salaries of Charity Chief Executives. I never contribute to what I consider 'professional charities'. Local charities usually ensure that most of the donation goes to the cause.
The amount of money that's been donated to some of the bigger charities over the years for 'aid', most of Africa should be drinking bottled mineral water and eating like kings. Something dodgy going on

The aid.. Or rather the money, didn't even leave the palaces... Let alone get to the people who needed it

"Right, let's have some inspirational music for the advert, it certainly needs it. Any ideas ?"
World weary executive, "Nick Drake ? "
"It's nearly five, yeah, he'll do. Let's get pissed."

Clean water for Africans? The whole of humanity is supposed to have started in Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago, so how come they haven't got their act together in all that time? The descendants of the original people who left home all those years ago for the most part managed to get the water thing sorted.
