Ten-man Longford did improve for a spell after the restart as David O'Sullivan provided a pacy threat up front. Yet Mervue were guided by promising teenage attacker Ryan Manning, who has been watched by Everton this season, and held firm.

Ryan Manning
Ryan is 18 years old. He was sentenced to six years and nine months for aggravated burglary for the theft of two cars. He and his gang stole cars and property worth nearly two hundred thousand pounds. During the burglary, gang members slashed the victim and hit him with an imitation gun.
...Seamus will have somebody to talk to.
Had him watched again last night. He came off the bench after about 70 mins and was played on the left wing.
Yes but are we signing him or what?
I don't know. All I know is we've been watching him since the Irish league started in September, along with a number of other clubs. But we've had him watched more than the others. He's like a very raw, young Michael Owen. Fast, intelligent, clinical finisher. However the manager insists on playing him as a left winger, so he hasn't really had a chance to impress the scouts. I assume that's why we keep coming back for another look and haven't made a decision one way or the other.
