Yep, the entire selection process was corrupt - I personally would quite like to go to the Russian world cup, but they're just one of them countries where trouble can escalate very fast.

It's all well and good FIFA and UEFA trying to give the game a global brand and to give countries opportunities to host it but surely more needs to be done to make sure these countries are going to be safe for fans. Russian football is massive at the moment with a lot of money involved but still it's not somewhere i'd want to go as a visiting fan.
