Well it's not really vs paxman but makes a better thread title.

Thoughts ?

Not generally a fan but its good to see some genuine anger at the status quo.

Interesting thing is the amount of people who think it was ace. He's basically advocating socialism.

This has gone viral everywhere.

the fact of the matter is people don't like him (I do) but he is saying what people want to hear.

His interviews are becoming increasingly more viable and echoing the voices of many. Just because he is an average comedian/actor does not make his opinions irrelevant.

If you have 10 minutes, watch the link - it really is very good.

Agree with every word he said.

Me and Brand would be best mates if we ever met.

I don't vote for very similar reasons but use less complicated words.

Agree with parts of what he said, but not to the extremes he goes to.

He also weakens his stance by saying "there needs to be an alternative... but i've got no earthly idea what it should or could be or even the vaguest clue of roughly how it would look"

Quite. He says there needs to be an alternative (which I agree with), but then goes on about a whole lot of populist stuff. I mean he talks about wealth inequality, yet has several very swanky homes around the world. He talks about wrecking the planet, yet is in the middle of a world tour, which he presumably isn't taking by solar paneled car. His carbon emissions for this year alone are probably in the top 1% globally.

If he lived by his own principals he might have more credibility.

But then we would probably have no idea who he is, and his ideas, or thoughts on the situation would never be heard.

Disagree with you there. I also can see there needs to be an alternative but do not know what it should be. What he is doing is just pointing out that there are major problems and the people and the planet are being ripped off. He does not say he has the answer just that there is issues.

He can motivate people to find answers/alternatives to our current method of being.

Fair shout.
