Hey guys thanks for the interest I did 4 hours 35 and raised a good few hundred quid for charity so I am delighted by that!! Really appreciated all the nice messages on here. Had Z Cars as one of the tunes on my Ipod and its amazing how much of a second wind you get when you hear that drum beat come on at the start.

Stupid Giraffe - congrats to your other half. That is an amazing effort and yes I saw the ques for the loos, they were mental. She has done something now though that not many others can say they have and no one can ever take that away from her.

The people on the streets were great, I was high fiving as many kids as I could and the crowd cheering was like a wave pushing you on. I got a picture taken at the end with my medal so will try get it on here as there is also another thread asking for a pic of yourself so will kill two birds with one stone there.

Once again thanks everyone for the interest and support. COYB!

Thanks! Is that in a car or on a bicycle?

Bicycle.

Nice one Bill. Fun or organised event?

The Houston to Austin BP MS 150. They have it every year to raise money to help find a cure for MS. This was my second time to ride and my wife's third.

We had two Everton cycling shirts made and wore them the second day (wore our team shirts the first day) and had several comments, most all from UK nationals working over here and riding in the event as well.

Some going on a single weekend Bill. Did a hilly 100km ride on Sunday, 'twas lovely weather for a spin. Bit to early in the season to be riding those kind of distances though :)

Cold in the morning but warmed up during the day. Got it done though. Very happy about it.

Well done and congrats. A big achievement !!!

Congrats bud! Massive achievement. Never really thought about doing a run before, but last coupla weeks I've been thinking I might do one. Any training tips? Or runs I could do for my first try?
