Rumble in the Jungle

Just listened on 5 Live. Not to the fight, but to Froch, Haye, and Hatten watching it, and talking about it.

Utterly fascinating listening to 3 world champions discuss a fight in real time. And I am not a great boxing lover.

Sure it will be on their I Player thingy. Only an hour, but compelling listening. Hearing them explain quite how painful seemingly nothing punches can be for example. Highly recommended.

It would be interesting to hear what the 3 of those fighters thought about Ali' tactics and how he wore Foreman down before knocking him out.

It was interesting. None of them had actually ever watched the whole fight, but obviously knew the story, and when Foreman was bashing Ali in the guts in R1 & R2, they all said that they had no idea how tough Ali was to take them.

Wish i could of listened to that like...

The way Ali just took no notice of everyone in his corner ' get off the ropes '... round after round. He wasn't even arsed. Loved the things he was saying to Foreman during the fight too. Classic from Ali tbf.
