What rules would you like to see changed/brought in/thrown out that you think would make the game better.

On the pitch I’d like to see the corner circles increased in size by perhaps 2 feet. It would increase the number of options for set pieces, make direct shots a bit more likely and generally make conceding a corner a bit more painful (wouldn’t help Everton of course because we don’t DO corners)

A tidying up of the offside rule, players being active/inactive in alternate phases, get it to feck. If you’re off you’re off. Or at the very least there has to be a good 10-20ft between you and the ball before you can claim you’re not interfering.

Retrospective yellows for diving in cases where it’s blatently obvious

I’d like to see a rule come in where an u18 players (with under say 5 appearances in the first team) can be swapped (essentually swap loans) at any time of the season with a player from another u18 team. This would get around players getting backed up and losing opportunities. For instance, we have left backs coming out of our ears at the moment would it not be an idea to be able to swap one for a striker (from a team backed up with strikers and no left backs?) . It would get more youths game time and would allow U18 teams to not be restricted to the players they have, in theory it should increase the quality of the games as a training exercise . Swapped players could even play for the first team if needed.

1. Stop booking players for a genuine tackle aimed at getting the ball, how can you book someone for a genuine challenge and produce the same punishment for cheating such as diving. Tackles could still be worthy of a yellow, but cheating should be a straight red.

2. Punish players who constantly hound the referee, if teams ran the risk of being down to 10, 9 or even 8 men in a game they wouldnt do it.

3. Do not punish managers for saying how they feel in interviews, especially if they say a referee is crap, no wonder they do what they want because they dont have to answer to anyone, were as a manager or player has to fill his media duties.

Retrospective punishment for divers, put the offside rule back to the way it was, make it compulsory for Brendan Rodgers to inhale helium during his interviews to detract credibility from his statements.

Retrospective action on diving/bad tackles etc even if the ref has seen it and booked a player when they should have been sent off etc.

If red cards can be rescinded, so should yellows.

The offside rule needs tidying up.

FA cup semi finals at neutral grounds, the final should be 3 o'clock kick off and the last game of the season.

If a player wants to argue with the ref, they have to do it through/with their team captain, if they don't its an instant yellow.

Hook the refs up to microphones which can be gone through after the game to ensure nothing dodgy is going on.
