Roy Keane on signing Robbie Savage....

Hahahahaha brilliant. I think a lot of Scousers have time for Keane in my opinion anyway. Seems a straight shooter, has a bit of snide about it.

Never particularly minded him. Well I'll read his book!

So I got Robbie’s mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: ‘Hi, it’s Robbie – whazzup!’ like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: ‘I can’t be [Poor language removed] signing that.’

Haha, very good. My brother was at an evening with Roy and Roddy Doyle in the RDS last month. He said Roy lay into Rio Ferdinand at every opportunity and was pretty hilarious throughout. Apparently people kept taking selfies with him for which he could not have looked any angrier so my brother snapped one with him while Roy was distracted.

I love Roy Keane, he was was an immense player and he always looks on the verge of killing Adrian Chiles when he's a pundit. This is what Pique had to say about him.

Piqué still reflects on his time in Manchester fondly but admits sharing a dressing room with Keane has left him permanently in fear of the Irishman.

He told FourFourTwo: “I remember we were in the changing room at Old Trafford and my phone started vibrating from inside my trouser pocket. Keano could hear the vibrations and went crazy trying to find out who the phone belonged to.

“That’s who he was. Before we beat Celtic 1-0 last season, I noticed him by the side of the pitch as a pundit as we went out to warm up. I hid my face with my hand because he still scares me. I was 26 years old, and I was shitting myself.”

His first book was a good read.
