....I don't know how he escaped being sacked after the World Cup, his squad and team selections were poor as was the tactics. I might be talking out of my pocket because I backed Stones @ 66-1 to get in that squad and Hodgson sent him home.
England failed to get out of a relatively straight forward group but I will say that Mascharino was outstanding in that competition. As well as his performance on the pitch it was obvious he was the key driver in the dressing room, talking to the players during extra time break and in the tunnel. He was the real captain, not Messi.
