Was a bit odd of a choice like. Perhaps it was a favour for someone?

Is it possible for someone to be voted for that isnt shortlisted? Like if everyone wrote Tony Hibbert on their ballots would he be made the winner?

Because the man who is in charge of supposedly a massive footballing nation thinks Mascherano was better than Ronaldo, Messi, Neur, Lahm, Muller, Costa etc. in 2014.

Well no mate no really when you think about it, we all know messi, Ronaldo etc are far far better players obviously but if Roy thinks mascherano performed at a level far exceeding expectations of him he's well within his rights to vote for him ,

Obviously he's wrong like but he's entitled to his opinion.
