Rotation for the Sunderland game or United game?

Just been talking to some fellow Blues and the general consensus so far has been that they would like to see the likes of Jelly, Peanut, Felli, etc rotated for the Sunderland game. Now, while I understand the benefits of rotation before a major semi-final, wouldn't it be better to blitz the Sunderland and Liverpool games, and then take a hammering fielding our reserves at Old Trafford? Surely this is what needs to happen? How many Blues honestly expect a result at Old Trafford anymore?

If Sunderland beat us on Monday, which is entirely possible despite our record against them, they will move above us into 7th. I honestly don't think it's worth taking this sort of risk. We need to keep going while we've got this momentum going.

Discuss.

No point in resting Pienaar - he's cup tied.

I see your point, and fully expect us to get bummed by United but resting players for the Sunderland game is more about not picking up injuries/suspension/fatigue for the Semi. Once the semi's done we might as well put a full team out for United.

That lot have a game on Tuesday, though? We should use this to our advantage too. They definitely can't afford to rotate the form their in.

Trouble is, you are damned if you do, damned if you dont with "rotation". Rest a player, he drops a sauce bottle on his foot; play him, he gets a knock/card, and is out of the SF. Some things you cant control. Send a team out that DM believes can beat Sland, and pray nothing goes too wrong! FFS Eberton!

Moyes has some serious thinking to do over the weekend.

Mind you, he probably already knows exactly what he's going to do.

Play our strongest team in my opinion, last time he rested players it didn't really pay off but the win away at Swansea (full strength?) set us up for a confidence boss performance in the Sunderland replay

I agree, I think Moyes has already planned this.

Does he play the likes of Heitinga and Osman who were rested today on Monday?

Fellaini? Baines? Jelavic? I'd rest all 3 of them.

Definitely agree with Fellaini, Baines and Jela being rested. I'd play Heitinga and Osman though.

Any professional football players who can't play 2 games in 6 days need to have a serious look at themselves... Just hope nobody picks up a knock.

I would also rest Distin n play heitinga with jags

i'd play

Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Duffy Neville
Coleman Gibson Barkley Gueye
Cahill
Anichebe

Or something random like that. Protect Baines, Fellaini, Heitinga and Jelavic
