Ross Barkley Update

Right, so, this kid is about the only thing exciting me about Everton this summer. But I don't know hardly a thing about him.

Can someone tell me:

- What position is his best?
- What famous player is he most like?
- Should I get him on the back of my Amber away shirt or is he gonna [Poor language removed] to United?

- What position is his best?
Ross is a central midfielder who operates box to box, good defensively and good going forward and is capable of goals. My biggest criticism of Rodwell is that he isnt nasty enough, hasnt got that bite in the tackle, which isnt the case with Ross. He is a big strong lad, loves a tackle and is very comfortable on the ball. He really is a massive talent.

- What famous player is he most like?
Hard to say and its often unfair to label a young player coming through with a comparison as it increases expectation, but if I had to say probably Steven Gerrard.

- Should I get him on the back of my Amber away shirt or is he gonna [Poor language removed] to United?
I'd say your probably safe to get him on your shirt!

I really hope he gets some minutes on the pitch this summer, can't wait to see what he's like. I've seen about 20 seconds of clips

What does everyone realisticly think he should be getting in terms of game time this season? Remembering that Everton are the club that give youth a chance, so what chance will Barkley get?

Sitting on the bench when we have an injury crisis doesn't count.

I was a bit surprised to hear Moyes say he would have got more games last season, if it wasn't for the injuries. I hope he is ready to make the jump into the Premier League, but I wasn't too sure if it was Moyes just saying it, full well knowing he was already done for the season, if you know what I mean (not starting conspiracies)

He appears to be raved about more than Rodwell, which can only be a great thing as I still expect massive things from him

Oh yeah i know exactly what you mean mate.

3 things are gonna happen with this kid.

1 : he is awesome, gets rave reviews whenever he plays so therefor gets sold within 2 years.

2 : he can't cut it so ends up in Scotland.

3 : he's average and nothing more but works hard in training so becomes a guaranteed starter regardless of form on the pitch.
 
I think we will certinally see him in the first team this season presuming he's over his injury problem.

I think he will probably start this season on the bench and making a few cameo apperances and maybe starting in the League Cup.
