Players should have to do their own caddying. They could use these motorised golf bags. Where's the problem?

Possibly that will have been something to do with his club sponsorship with Nike stopping making clubs and simply focusing on clothing? He's having a strange year. Changed all of his equipment (including putter) mid-season rather than using the offseason to get accustomed to it.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if he won the PGA next week. Quail Hollow suits him perfectly and he's won there before

Still a bit surprised that he changed the putter as well. Players in similar spots have held off on switching over putters. He's been lost at times this year on the greens, going through three putters in a tournament. I think he's starting to put it together though and he's already won two tournaments at QH. Perfect track for himPossibly that will have been something to do with his club sponsorship with Nike stopping making clubs and simply focusing on clothing?
Perhaps he was advised to move to a new brand mid-season to continue his advertising image rather than sticking with his half-cut Nike deal.
And to your point of the PGA, you're correct about his game at Quail Hollow and apart from his opening day his Open comeback was very strong.
It is interesting to listen in to their deliberations. I suppose the caddie plays a coaching role like Koeman except he doesn't come onto the pitch and run alongside the players. It fascinates me thoigh the work of the caddy, I love listening in to their conversations and the detail they give the golfers for each shot is unreal.
It makes sense why golfers always use the term "we" when they've won as they know their caddy really puts a shift in.
Sacks his caddy. Is this a case of a workman blaming his tools?
