Today Wayne looked like he was playing against his 'parent' club. He looked like he didn't want to hurt us. The only contribution I can remember him making was when he lobbed the ball up at the far post for Berbatov.

When he rounded Howard, even though the ball got away from him, I was amazed at the ease at which Neville was able to see the ball out, coming from the wrong side of him.

Whilst it's unfair to label United a one man team, with Rooney off his game, they certainly didn't look like Champions-elect.

Not taking anything away from Everton. It was an open, entertaining match. We did leave plenty of space for Rooney to operate in though, if he so wished.

Today wasn't about Rooney, it was about Everton, pure and simple.

he did look off color, or at least from what I have heard.

but we don't give a rat's ass do we, only one team on Merseyside today.

It's the summer I'm more concerned about regarding this individual.

He's better when he has to do it all himself. Berbatov started and I think that because of that he didn't get the ball that much becasue he was pretty threating the few times he did have the ball.

Weird you should post that, I was thinking something similar but thought it was me being plain silly reading into something that's not there.

It defo is that like, he just had an off game.

I reckon he missed his chance on purpose me.

He just missed controlled it. If you get to watch the replay later tonight, he rounds Howard but the ball bounces off his other foot and pushes it too far in front of him.

He did have a off day, could've been spent from carrying them mid-week in Milan. He did get pissed off with the support he got around him.

He didnt seemed to get as much stick either....

Or he just doesnt like playing against us cos he's still a blue hehe
