Player Valuation: £35m
Watched the Utd game at Sunderland today. Rooney - what a useless pile of [Poor language removed]. A modern day has-been. He's no pace left in him. He can't perform quick bursts of speed. He can't do quick twists and turns. He's completely predictable.

What's he on, £300k a week? Daylight robbery.

Never has and never will live up to the potential he showed as a young lad, shouldve been one of the greatest

Man u fans have been saying this for the last 18 months, he can still bang the goals in but he not world class.

True. When with us he did have everything -- speed over short distances, quick turns, dribbling ability etc. As I say, he's gradually lost all that.

I honestly think fergie took advantage of him, knowing rooney's attitude at the time and willingness to run, he used him as a hard working member of the team, to aid ronaldo and tevez, with the added bonus of being technically very good, he never quite regained that old spark he had

He's done everything on the domestic stage...but not done it on the International stage, looks like he's never been arsed when he pulls that England shirt on.

He was partying in Vegas before Euros 2012 ffs

Won United points on his own. Never realised his potential to be one of the greats, but a good player nonetheless

True, rooney became to much of a yes man to fergie, if he needed him to play here there or anywhere he'd just get on with it, think that took away the enthusiasm he use too play with

Should have been as good as Ronaldo.
Difference in my opinion there is the mentality, you look at ronaldo and now bale, theyve hit the gym, look after there body, put in that extra discipline, which rooney has never done, hes to much of a scally

he stuck him out on the left for ages, fair play they won titles, and they did have ronaldo at the time, but rooney never became the player he should have, we all saw how could hew was and the raw talent that was there, especially evertonians, its a shame
