i've only just realised he has the united record outright. I've been thinking for about 3 or 4 weeks now that his goal at stoke brought him level with charlton haha, ffs.

Only 15 off shearer's PL record, so he should really stay and want to break that record too. He could achieve that here coming back and playing in a more attacking role than what he's currently doing at united, i do think he'd offer us something as a second/sub striker or as an attacking midfielder. I'm more interested in the statement bringing him back would send to the world though, the fee would probably not represent value for money on the pitch, but it would regarding sponsorship and interest in the club imo.
