It's worth noting that Ross was just out for 8 months so had he not been injured maybe we'd be in a better place to compare them.

As it stands mate it's just too early.

Players like rooney was then/is now the best english player of his generation, to produce two of them in the space of 10 years we'll be very lucky but barkley is very promising. To be fair to barkley tho they are totally different types of player but the potential is defintely there for him to boss uniteds midfield for years to come! *sob*

That goal was a moment of beauty man. Just seeing Ruddock waddling after him in his wake.

Pity he went crap, but he gave us his money's worth with that goal.

By the sounds of it, Ross Barkley has got his head screwed on which, as a person, puts him head and shoulders above Cada and Rooney. In some ways, regardless of pure talent, that makes him worth more to us than Wayne ever was because he's less likely to have his head swayed by talk about bigger clubs.

As for Danny, he was a decent talent who never delivered. RB has way more talent than Danny ever had ( a la Frankie J.). I intend to enjoy watching that talent develop. In an ideal world, he'll be with us for 5 or 6 years and help move us on to the next level ... which is optimistic, but not out of the question.
