Rooney meeting with david moyes

It's quite funny that moyes talking nonsense in press conferences now has massive consequences.

He enjoyed this business too much at goodison but now he's shot himself in the foot within his first few weeks of the job, but not surprising considering some of the patronising and bizarre things he said with us over the last few years.
You think Moyes didn't realise what he was saying? Be v surprised if that was the case - not that Moyes is a wily media operator or anything, but he's experienced and chooses his words carefully. His comments were absolutely clear as a bell in the message he was sending, which is that Wayne can get right tae f_ck and no one running Utd is even arsed.

I mean it's not like there's a grey area or room for misinterpretation - Wayne can play a role for us if RVP gets injured.

I think it's the timing which is poor from Moyes more than anything. If he had made a marquee signing then he might have been able to get away with this, but all it looks like he's doing so far is upsetting star players, not attracting others to the club and losing pre-season friendlies, whilst looking a bit lost in press conferences.

He really looks out of his depth right now, but time will tell.

"I think he’s got a major role to play because we need to try and get as many goals as we possibly can. I think Wayne can play up-top and he can play dropped in. Overall, my thought on Wayne is, he’ll be key. If for any reason we had an injury to Robin, we are going to need him. I want to be able to play the two of them, I want to be able to use Danny Welbeck, Chicarito as well."

Waynetta is confused and angry by this. Obviously after more money and a move.

Did we include a sell-on clause for Rooney when he went to Man Utd?

From what I remember we get a percentage of any profit of a future sale, but I've also heard some people say that clause has expired so hopefully someone else will be able to clear that up...
