Rooney & Barkley

Rooney will have one more season at Utd, breaking their all-time scorers record.

After that he will be on his last legs. Over the last 20 years we would have taken someone like that at the end of their career, but going forward I hope we don't.

I think Rooney will stay at Man U another season. It was interesting watching him in Big Duncs testimonial, abeit very briefly showed how Everton could look with him playing for us again, I liked the idea very much but as time ticks by and Rooney gets older it just seems his time has gone. This summer or never.

I've still got a hunch that Barkley won't make the Euro squad. If Rooney circa 2016 was at Everton, he'd get in the team before Barkley, based on form and effectiveness. Rooney has turned himself into a superb team player, versatile and with a great football brain, and an appreciation of the 'angles' in football.

Let's slag off are young players again shall we no doubt if Rooney would have stayed he would have got the same treatment !!

I think it will depend on how he plays against Australia. Sterling, Wilshere and Henderdson are back and Roy wants to take Rashford and Alli. He could very easily miss out.

He is going to have to drop one of his favorites and he has never really taken to Barkley.

If possible I would sign Rooney and play him in the Paul Scholes position dictating the game with Tom Davies his backup and in a couple of years when Rooney is ready to move on to the MLS or China Davies would be ready.

I think McCarthy or even Besic could play further back although I would look to bring in Bazoer.

It won't happen because Jose would never sell.

Rooney will want to play for Mourinho. He'll stay there then semi retire in the MLS. He's not coming back.
