Can't help thinking that Rooney could teach Ross so much - let's see them together in France and then at Goodison for a year or two. My fear is that there's more chance of them both turning out at OT.

People really need to swerve Rooney, hes utterly finished, sure he will provide the odd moment of class, but on the whole hes utterly horrific.

Scored 2 more goals than Kone this season.

...it's amazing how Rooney has developed and matured since that original press conference when he was 16. I think he's impressive and a good representive as captain of his country. I also think his wife has been a major influence for the good and if any of that rubs off on Barkley it can only be a good thing.

Would love to see him return. May not have the deadly instinct no more..but would give the team a boost. 2 year contract. After all we paid 13 million for watever his name his. My opinion bring him back and let him ignite the ' back pass Barkley ' fella and show him how to pass forward and keep the game flowing.

Rooney would be a class midfielder for us. He's not a striker anymore but if he transitions he could be a great midfield force...behind Barkley.

Can't see him going anywhere other than China or America. Both have the money to pay him and their leagues would be about his level in a year or two. He looks like the sort of player who will struggle to maintain his fitness.
