But where do people get off thinking that tradies shouldn't be paid fairly for their expertise, time and work? Get your butt out and get an apprenticeship then see if you think what they charge is a ripoff.

Especially if they had got you to come and look at the job and give them a price in the first place, then whinged about the price, had a go themselves, cocked - up, then got you back out to do the job.

I dont mind paying any builder as long as the jobs a good'un - get estimates - check the builder out by recommendations beware of cheap estimates !

If you got £100 for a day you can't complain if someone ask you the same
A good gauge for a company doing a trade job is £200 per person a day.
A lad on his own £150
Cash job £100
