I'd say it's symptomatic of the nature of celebrity - and how pathetic that is. Don't get me wrong I love our team and support our team but the players themselves are not heroes (unless, perhaps, they do something heroic like win something) but for me, being older, they get my support on the understanding that they will probably move on soon enough to earn their wages elsewhere. That said Everton players are more loyal than most and the PL stats show our first team has the longest service at their current club.

What is depressing is how, disguised as a hobo, how few bothered with him.

What the hell is this guy doing? Those two Electrovoice speakers sitting behind him are like 400 quid a piece.

Back on topic, yeah it was super depressing how he got mobbed as soon as he took the disguise off. So clear that he's amazingly talented even with the beard on, and yet nobody cares then. :/
 
Can't help thinking of the above and if two or three lads on the beer were walking through the square pushed him over and nicked the ball. Bad I am
 

To be fair, there were quite a few people standing watching him and taking videos, they could obviously see had had some talent.
Must be a huge thrill for the kid that got the signed ball though.
