Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Ronaldo bagged a hat-trick at the weekend, taking his scoring record this season to 30 goals in 27 games. Messi by contrast has 28 in 26 games.

No flash in the pan either. If you go back over the last four seasons their stats are:

CR 164 games, 131 goals
LM 170 games, 129 goals

Remarkable from both men.

It's incredible

The fact they are so different, at possibly the biggest teams in the world and almost going head to head like that is amazing, personally

Still, would we all have Messi? I think so.

Messi is very admirable in his conduct, and playing style. Haven't seen much of him diving round like a girl. (might be wrong) and also see him just get on with it after tough tackles, without hassling the ref and waving imaginary cards...

More Messi's please..

I've been trying to find a video of a goal, I think against Madrid, when Messi is chopped in half. Gets up straight away, they take a quick free kick, he takes on everyone in Spain, and scores a beauty. It was top stuff

Thats what i'm talking about. It's like the need to score / win, far outweighs any need to make a point to to other players or cause grief with the ref / fans. Hat's off to the man....

Check out Messi's assists though..

Aye, over the past four years Ronaldo has 33 assists, Messi 57. According to Wikipedia anyway.

I want him dope tested, he is not human. I watched him the other night - he has feet like little wings, he is like Icarus.

Him and Usain Bolt must be contenders for "Superhuman Sportsman Award".

I once thought I saw Messi float across the pitch....replays were inconclusive.

In the league Ronaldo's got 22 in 18 and Messi's got 18 in 16 (11 assists). All records smashed this year I think. Just hope they don't get injured as they're both a pleasure to watch.

Prefer Messi. comes across as a nicer guy and of the two he's the one you'd back to do it in a big match.

Their performances in international matches are the only negative notes. But they're both young enough to rectify that

Even without goals and assists - You can just watch Messi running with the ball and its just unbelievable every single time.
