1) no it doesn't take much to ruin a minutes silence, but it takes a lot to make a banner for remembrance day with 'no bloostained(sic) poppies on our hoops' it took celtic supporters group the green brigade - this 'only one guy' crap is a load of rubbish.
2)am i fook making things up - its the excuse they use and jeanette findlay has argued this point ( http://www.scottishreview.net/JeanetteFindlay151.shtml ), in short:
rangers sing songs about the pope and fenians so they are sectarian and bad/ celtics iraoke songbook in praise of terrorists is political and therefore ok.
3)walter smith being abused was as clear as day, but don't take my word for it:

4) the media being in rangers pocket, do me a favour, they are currently in dispute with the bbc and get very few favours from the daily record, or should i say the daily rhebel
5) the last case was a the fare incident after eindhoven - a joke, but guess what? uefa are investigating celtic now for their chanting, the new bill is also not too popular with celtic either - the double standards are now in the spotlight:

"Iraoke". I must admit, I laughed at that.
As for Walter Smith being abused...that's only good taste surely?!
Whenever i've met Rangers/Celtic fans in the past i've always been asked who i think is the better of the two teams, i just tell them they're both ****e. A mate of mine got battered on holiday by a load of rangers fans, they called him a scouse **** because they heard him talking when he walked past, my mate's a bit err mad so he grabbed one of the ranger's fan's shirt off the sunbed and chanted celtic celtic celtic as he proceeded to piss on it before getting jumped by 8 of them, unluckily for the scottish lads, my mate was abroad with a group of 20+ 'scouse ****s' who managed to find out which hotel they were staying in, and better still, the exact rooms they were staying in. Apparently in the daytime when the scottish lads were out their rooms, a few of the scousers broke into their rooms and robbed a few passports off them so they couldnt get their flights back, the scottish lads found out who had done it and eventually they had a massive brawl and a few people got stabbed, madness!

That's twice now you have mentioned 'only one guy' and 'only a few'. Where did I say either of those things ? You are inventing quotes here which were never made.

You are making things up because you are implying that I said it was "OK". To repeat, NO IT'S NOT. Chants which are pro-(provisional) IRA are out of order. However, 'The Boys of the Old Brigade' refers to the IRA in the War of Independence of 1919-1921. Call them terrorists if you want, but they managed to establish at least partial independence for Ireland. One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. 'The Fields of Athenry' is not even a rebel song never mind a political one. It's a ballad about the famine. It's not offensive to anyone. (Apart from the sacrileged version sung by a certain club on Merseyside which blabbers on about highways on the wing or something such like.) However Rangers have their own 'Famine song' celebrating the deaths of 1 million people, and telling their descendants that "it's time to go home". The Irish National Anthem is sung. What is wrong with that ? Should GSTQ be banned ?

Is that the best you can do ?
4) the media being in rangers pocket, do me a favour, they are currently in dispute with the bbc and get very few favours from the daily record, or should i say the daily rhebel
Strange then that would come up with a headline like "Who's More Hated at Ibrox (is it Lennon or the Taxman?)" a few days before an OF derby, and be forced to apologise for doing so....

Finally Celtic get charged by UEFA after, guess what, a a Strathclyde policeman makes a complaint. Say no more. Rangers' hall of shame includes Villareal, Osasuna, and Einhoven in recent times. Not to mention the events of Manchester at the UEFA Cup Final which were shocking.
1) your 'only takes one idiot to ruin a minutes silence' line gave the impression you were playing down the chanting and activities to the old 'its only a few idiots' excuse that gets rolled out.
2) the 'old' IRA did indulge in sectarian murders of protestants and the add on to 'were one on the road' - soon there'll be no protestants at all is sectarian. any way the chants of PIRA and 'roll of honour' - in praise of PIRA 'heros' is clearly not the old IRA
3) well yes and it kind of proves the point. doh!
4) lennon got an apology for that - rangers didn't.
5) wonder why FARE didn't report them eh?
yep let rangers stick to their awful songs about the pope and the billy fullerton while you can sooth us with your ballads in honour of the women and child killers of the IRA eh,
the rest of your guff is paranoid and laughable.
i am part of the irish dispora [Poor language removed].
Good grief this has got out of hand again. So seeing as this thread is now an abortion - needlessly I add!
The arguement seems to be between to terminal cancer sufferers arguing about who has the most deadly cancer - does it matter? it is still mlignant, you are still going to die, there is no bright side.
I tried earlier to get the thread back on the quite serious topic it was designed for, sadly, some forum members have thoroughly destroyed it. Close it, it's done.
And shame on the bum holes that gone out of their way to ruin it and rip strips off each other. If brains were dynamite, the ''number'' of you wouldn't have enough explosive to blow a bog roll over.
