FT: ROI 3-0 Wales

Woeful first half; all goals came in the second. A Darren Gibson screamer opened the scoring after 60 minutes or so, then Duff scored a scrappy goal (his first for Ireland in 5 years) before Fahey bent a nice free kick into the corner. A good second half if you're an Ireland fan like myself, then :)

Super Seamie was positive when he got the ball, but there was very little movement and support around him. He was subbed off just before the opening goal, injury-free.

That's 1 of the most woeful Welsh sides I've seen for a long time. Granted they've never really been at the races in World Football terms, but there isn't really 1 standout player in their ranks. Collins is a decent enough defender but their forward line is relatively poor. Speed would have been better staying at Sheff Utd unless they will have 1 or 2 in their ranks that has the ability to have a go in the near future.

*ahem* Gareth Bale *ahem*

Seamus done well, and nearly always retained possession for hes team.He nearly provided an assist for the opening goal but Clarkes header was just wide. Even though i had a few quid on him first goal i was glad to see him come off, the lad has played an awful lot of ball in the past year or so, and that on the back of a long lay off, he was running on empty at the emirates recently.

Good win for the boys in green, er, white, well done Seamus.
