Not getting into the Ryan Dunn thing but don't think he was out of order.

RIP

[Poor language removed] him really. He was out of order when Ryan Dunn from Jackass died. Having a go at him when he'd just died, total prick.

Nothing wrong with what he'd said. Ryan Dunn was a moron drink driver and his friends were morons for letting him do it. The only saving grace is that they didn't hit any other innocent drivers.

This is all news to me. I'll google it

Dunn died after drink drving, ebert's response was "friends don't let jackasses drink & drive" and then stood by it when challenged.

There was a huge barney on here about it. With some of us saying if you drink and drive then that's what happens, better him than an innocent and others thinking that was a bit harsh.

I think part of the argument was that Dunn had tweeted a picture of him drinking the same night, and that he showed a total disregard for others so other people shouldn't worry about him.

Back to Ebert, i remember totally disagreeing with his opinion that video games can't be art, but i respected him for standing behind his opinion despite a lot of criticism.

Ah I DO remember this now!

Bit insensitive to say something so soon after he died, but his point makes sense.
