We all remember Castillo's performance against Chealsea in the 0-0. He was superb and played simple passes. His tracing of the game was superb and was always there to intercept/tackle the ball. Also once in a while he loves to blast the ball to the net with full force.

On the other hand, Rodwell has been adapating to his defensive mid role quite effectively. He looks comfortable on the ball and also plays the simple ball. Once in a while he does go forward and tries to head in goals or shoot them once he gets a chance. As we have seen several times, his not the best finisher from far away distances.

So who should play?

I go with Castillo to start at the game mainly because most likely it will be his last game in an Everton shirt and he wants to leave with a medal more than anyone. But, as the game progresses you can have Rodwell replace him maybe after the second half.

TBH I don't think either will start. I reckon the midfield will be Peanuts, Cahill , Nev, Ossie & Fellaini just behind Saha.
But I agree with your post though(y) COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i used to want to start Rodwell, but after many reminders of 2 defensive midfielders would benefit Chelsea, id say neither..

But between them, definitely Rodwell.

Yeah Segundo "Tree Trunks" did do a job at Stamford Bridge, but i wouldnt put the weight of this Final on him. Reckon he'd buckle.

Rodwell, reckon he'd be supercharged for this game. Puppy of war.

I dont want us to play defensive, I would rather we went at them from the start, fcuk sitting back, smash them from the 1st whistle to the last.

Steamroll them, they dont like a fight, they will start crying if we hit em hard.

Rodell would be well up for this I think.

I have complete faith in the young jedi.

I agree. He'll be rolling around in his own shiit when Essien, Ballack and Lampard tear him a new a-hole.

Sorry, but I dont think we should be putting the chance of Everton winning the FA Cup, the first major trophy for 15 years on the line, just for some guy who played a few games in one season for us' just because he might leave this summer. If Moyes thinks he deserves it on merit then fair enough, but because he might not be here next year? Ridiculous.

Also Rodwell's had a few good stirkes from distance recently, a couple efforts that weren't far off target, and tbh, Castillo's famous goal was not all that good of a strike.

A mate of mine is spot on every week with the team news, he gets it from his mate who works at Finch Farm. Rodwell is starting and Saha is on the bench.

Rodwell is definatly the better option than Castillo.

I'd of liked Cahill to be in the middle giving Lampard lots of hassle but can't have both
