What I hate, I mean I really hate is when people say that players are poor when they arent playing. Rodwell hasnt been playing but people say that he isnt as good as we all thought, he played well at the start of the season and looked absolute mustard for England but nah hes rubbish because he cant get in the side at the moment.

This is a boss statement. He was definitely one of the form players in the side before his injuries.

Being played out of position for about 6 years didn't help.

We've played Rodzilla in every midfield birth imagineable over the last 4 years and we still don't know how to get the best out of him.

He's like the b*stard love child of Tony Grant and Denilson.

He was definitely showing signs of improvement on last season but that's as far as it goes really. A little bit more aggression off the ball and him taking more responsibility in possession is all I saw, he wasn't running games or physically dominating opposition midfielders. He's still got alot to do if he wants to be a regular for us, and that's coming from someone who would defend his natural gifts all day long.

Our midfield doesn't boss teams because for a majority of the time the ball is flying over their heads and then coming straight back at them. we don't have any world beaters and if we do we dont know because they dont have the ball most of the time. Yes we have picked up recently but no one can argue that for 90% of the season we have been really bad in a footballing perspective and lets be honest 7th flatters the hell out of us.

Rodders has been right mid defensive mid, attacking mid wherever he can fit in for the faves really so its not his fault entirely that his progression has stalled.
