Oof. Poor guy. Some people get famous even though they had no intention of becoming so nor even deserve to have it thrust upon them. He got brain damage from that beating. I wonder how he ended up in that pool.

RIP Rodney King. Somehow, you had a positive effect on life.

By all Accounts he wasn't a very nice person and very violent. They didn't just pull a stranger out of a car and start beating
him.

I also wouldn't have thought the innocent White people who were caught in the riots, pulled from their cars and in some cases beaten to death would see a positive in it.

Like you I don't know the ins and outs of what or why it happened. All I heard that he was a serious criminal who had a history of violence, even against the police.

Theres a legal system in place to take care of criminals. Roadside beatings are not part of this

It's easy to judge how people act when you're not in the situation. I don't know what happened and I'm guessing the press never gave a true account. A lot of innocent people got a lot worse in the rioting after.

Are you saying he deserved what he got?

I am.

"n 1993, King entered an alcohol rehabilitation program and was placed on probation after crashing his vehicle into a block wall in downtown Los Angeles. In July 1995, he was arrested by Alhambra police, who alleged that he hit his wife with his car, knocking her to the ground. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail after being convicted of hit and run.[31] On August 27, 2003, King was arrested again for speeding and running a red light while under the influence of alcohol. He failed to yield to police officers and slammed his vehicle into a house, breaking his pelvis"

They should have killed him.

The World would not have missed such utter vermin.
