Rodgers new liverpool manager after saying no

I'm not sure if the fans are the issue. If the owners aren't happy then he's gone. The fans were right behind the Kong and he still went.

All Rodgers is, is a front man. He has handed the owners his testes on a platter. I bet he's spending the compensation for dismissal already.

What I meant was that Kenny, as much of a club legend as he was and still is, was not a good manager last season, and has probably been out of the game too long to be an effective manager. The issue with Kenny was just that he wasn't good enough in the league. A lot of our fans can't see past that and still think Dalglish is the only man for us and will oppose anyone given the job who isn't a big name like Mourinho, Guardiola (which isn't even slightly realistic anyway). Already people have started comparing our owners now to Hicks and Gillett based on one unpopular sacking which, from their point of view, was in the club's best interest whereas Hicks and Gillett didn't act in the club's best interest at all. The worry for me is that people will be too strongly against Rodgers to see his positives and we'll end up exactly where we where when we sacked Benitez.

"I want to use the incredible support to make coming to Anfield the longest 90 minutes of an opponent's life. That's the idea. I want to see this great attacking football with creativity and imagination, with relentless pressing of the ball. I know what it's like because I had a team like that at Swansea. When people came to Swansea it was probably the longest 90 minutes of their life. So after 10 minutes when they hadn't had a touch of the ball they are looking at the clock and seeing only 10 minutes had gone. It's a long afternoon."

****ing barm pots the lot of them

'Folklore' is probably spot on, tbf: a story with hardly a grain of truth in it.

They saw King Kenny deposed with barely a whimper because they knew he was cracked; and they'll be sending death threats to Rodgers by Christmas.

This is something that happens within a stupid minority of every football club though.

Give me an example of an Everton fan sending a death threat to one of our own managers or players.

It probably has happened, but I can't give an example if it's not publicised or out there. I just think there's plenty of idiots following every club capable of doing that who probably have, but as i say, not everyone is going to be aware of it every time. I just remember Kean being given lots of death threats recently, the England fans giving a referee death threats for a decision in Euro 2004, and the Chelsea fans giving a referee death threats when they got knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona in 2009. You can't make out that sort of stuff is exclusive to Liverpool or any football club.

He said Manger/players not chairman you ****ing beaut

Read the quote next time you thick meff

A death threat is a death threat though. A death threat to a chairman isn't any more acceptable than one to a player or manager. That's a pretty weak response.
