Everyone's Greatest underdog....
POSSIBLE SPOILERS:
Well maybe that's us at the moment...
Just for a breather from all things Everton.
I LOVE some of the Rocky films. When I say SOME, I mean all but 5. I'm quite aware there are some exceptional Evertonians who are also Sylvester fans. Well one at least. I like Sly but this ain't about him or any old stuff that happened yesterday. This is way further back than that.
1: You've all seen it. Haven't? Are you 10, like? It's a Timex fight. "Get's a licking; keeps on ticking". No rematch!!! (Also won an oscar... Best Screenplay/writing???). Correct if wrong, accordingly.
2:Rematch: Errr. same as above, with some of the most brutal fight scenes outside of some mental chop-sockey 1970's Japanese film. (NON-RACIST COMMENT. Bells!) Also he can't read. So endearing!
I "smeel mainly". Beast aftershave. Rocky is Big Bad Boss though!
3:Ah Rocks, you perfect physical specimen, you. Italian Stallion. King of the Chickens. (WATCH 2). Got yer face painted didn't yer lad? Came back all strong though. My favourite! Fought some underdogs and began to believe your own hype mate. The training sesh he does again and again with Apollo? Wow! It should have it's own website! (prob does: too lazy) Mickey copping it! That Clubber dude checking yer missus out. The race on the beach that Apollo so obvs slowed down for. I LOVE this film. Getting stronger. Gotta dig deep son!
4: It's over. Rocky is The man. Really? Does anyone wanna go outside for this? Pfft. Russia? Who dey got den? Oh. Ok. Drugs, Politics and a strangely attractive Brigitte Nielson (She'd rip 'em off son).
Did I forget Dolph? Silly me. Story goes that he hit Sly so hard he had to go hospital during filming. Not one for stories meself, but would be remiss of me to not mention it. Dolph looked good! A mean lean something or other. Killed Apollo! How dare he? But it's ok. Cos Rock was there and so was the whole of the U.S.A. Apparently. Kudos Rocky!
5:[Poor language removed]. Tommy Morrison. Actually one of the best left hooks in the fighting game. Fought some bums unfortunately, but pretty ok and always had a "chance". This ain't about you though. It's rocky. Not the "Great White Hope Show". Not to be confused with the "Bob Hope Show". Avoid.
6: Or Rocky Balboa: Old man has dodgy fight. Checks out bird he once slapped down but it's ok now cos "we're old" kinda thing. Not a bad fight though. In the grand Scheme of things.
Had to mention... Because it was all over Goodison, unlike West Brom, "Creed". The latest in the franchise. I kinda look forward to it. Tony Bellew is in it. Good enough for me.
