The original is one of my very favourite 80's 18 rated movies so was worried about this remake...

However, that doesn't look half bad.

Looks like they've given him more of a character when he's a robot which isn't a bad thing.

And thank god that bit near the end had ED-209!

Dead or alive you're coming with me.

My problem with that trailer is that it lacks any sort of "soul" whatsoever. It just didn't feel like a proper Robocop experience - yeah I know it's a reboot etc. but still, just felt like a standard Michael Bay-esque action film.

What made Robocop fantastic was the inappropriate humour and extreme violence. I doubt this movie will have either.

Also, WTF is with movies these days? Have they completely ran out of ideas to the point where all they can do is browse through film libraries for something to reboot?

Thing is mate, you don't get films like the 80's any more. In any genre really. It's all samey these days. Well is to me.

In the 80's you had so much swearing and violence, even in PG's, you just can't get away with it any more.
