Can't argue. Besic has had his injuries, Martinez seems to have lost faith in Mirallas and well, I think we are al aware of the goalkeeping situation. Can't believe we are so bad in that position, it's inexcusable really.

Unless he views the chance to learn from Kone's and Naismith's wing play as beneficial

He has faith in Kone who is a waste of space. Strange.

Yes these 3 average players are the envy of the Premiership and with them we would definitely finish above the mighty Stoke.

TBF no one has seen Besic enough to know he can cut it at this level and Barry has been good this season. Mirallas clearly has issues off the pitch with Martinez, nothing else can be the case when you look at his Everton career stats in terms of goals-assists-chances created. As for Robles, he deserves his chance, probably, but their has to be a reason why Martinez prefers Howard, it's interesting as Martinez has signed Robles twice, you would usually say that repeating the same mistake over and over is the sign of insanity but this is Martinez we are talking about.

I'd say Robles is average but people are desperate to see him, opinions on Howard aside, so he's being hyped up by blues at least.

Besic has a lot of potential so average may be cruel but I suppose we need to see more of him.

Mirallas is a lot better than average - inconsistent and temperamental perhaps, but certainly not average.

Are they really the envy of other sides? Mirallas may be. Would they make that much of a difference? Only one way to find out, but will they be picked? I'd say probably not.

Robles - An overhyped keeper who everyone wants to start because of the dire howard in goal.

Mirallas - absolutely dire this season.

Besic -- has been injured and played CM against Newcastle (same as McCarthy has been) and not in DM as Barrys there...

If you want to think of 3 things to improve:

1-- GK needs a major upgrade. The top 4 recently have had DDG, Cech,Courtois and Hart....we have Tim Howard. We need a top level keeper not a Robles.

2-- There is no top class LM/LW player in the squad. Martinez needs to buy players window to window as he cant simply replace and entire squad in one go.

3-- We have no centre midfielder.

Those are the main 3 and then jettissoning out Moyes old squad players this summer.

Bore off Pal. Jumping on a "let's all hate Kone/ Hibbert/Osman" bandwagon?

He's not everyone's cuppa tea but far from a waste of space. Just wondering your thoughts after his hat trick the other month?? Without Kone, Lukaku has to drop deeper and is less effective like vs Newcastle.
