Robbie Rogers

The kid is very fast and is equally left footed and right footed. He plays both wings and also plays left back in a pinch. Opposing teams tend to play down the other side of the field because he is difficult to breakdown. He would benefit from some decent coaching to further develop his football knowledge. I would compare him to Holden in terms of potential. Currently he is having a decent year with his club team. Bradley should be playing him more at the Gold Cup. The second half in the Panama game would have been an ideal time to play the kid. Lots of space, a tired defense on its heels. He came on against Costa Rica under similar circumstances and was involved in both goals that resulted in the tie that allowed the USA to win its group in WC qualifying.

I think I know you from a different soccer message board. Couldn't be more wrong in your comments

Echo this post. I don't know him from other message boards, but I do know his comments are completely wrong about Robbie.

We don't even need to entertain any notions of going after this guy.

Tons of talent. Just has no idea what to do with it. I think he's playing in the league he should be, not good enough for Everton.

I don't ever see him being in the same class as Holden.

Now, could he prove me wrong?

Sure.

But I think the odds are against him.

Can i change my user name to Ronnie Rogers? That's the best name I've heard in quite a while.

I'd never heard of him.....after doing some digging i can see he's a 24 year old wide player with a bunch of american caps.

He was 'ÁCE' in 2008 and in the MLS all stars team of the season, but since then he's been like Saha....injured and crap.

If he's 24 then he's too old to be a "project", as another poster suggested.

I totally agree with this. I am a huge fan of Robbie Rogers and am eager to see which European team he ends up in, as his contract is up this year with the Crew. LOL about him being injured and broken, he is far from it. Great career ahead of him.

Well this current Crew season ticket holder disagrees with you. He is not EPL quality. He consistently lacks the final product ie crossing, finishing, or pass. I don;t think he is particular astute tactically. Let someone else take him he is not good enough for Everton.

Sorry but gotta agree with NSmith on this one.

Robbie doesn't stamp his authority on MLS matches so I can just about guarantee you he'd be run over in an English match. The game would absolutely pass him by.

MLS is on par with his ability. When my Dynamo come up against him, to be honest, I don't worry about what Rogers could do to us.
